Because knowing why
isn't always enough to change
what happens next.

Knowing the pieces of our story doesn’t necessarily bring change.

You know where you are, but not always how to move forward.

How do you get to the next step?

Rooted in who you are.

Therapy is a place to unpack your stuff. The messy stuff. The complicated stuff. The things you've been carrying for a long time.

You don't have to perform, have the perfect explanation, or know exactly what you need.

Growing into who you are becoming.

Hi, I’m Julia!

I believe therapy begins with connection. You deserve a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and talk openly about what's happening in your life. I believe in making mental health a priority.

My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I’ll work with you to understand your story, your goals, and what will be most helpful.

I live and work in Colorado Springs. My husband and two pups keep my life rich and full of laughter.

“Julia has encouraged me to engage with pieces of my story with curiosity & compassion. As I’ve weathered hurts and transitions, she has offered me tools to remain deeply connected to myself. Julia's warmth, gentleness, humor, and acceptance cultivate a space for her clients to experience healing, growth, and clarity.”

You don’t have to be in crisis to want something different.

I work with people navigating the complicated seasons, relationships, transitions, and experiences that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Quiet the constant mental noise and learn to feel more grounded.

Relationships

Understand patterns, improve communication, and create relationships that feel healthier and more authentic.

Trauma & EMDR

Process painful experiences that continue to affect your life today.

Life Transitions

Navigate changes in identity, relationships, career, family, or the direction of your life.

Boundaries & People Pleasing

Learn to say no, communicate your needs, and create healthier relationships without carrying unnecessary guilt.

Self-Esteem & Identity

Reconnect with yourself, build self-trust, and figure out what you actually want.

Wading through the weeds.

A trauma-informed lens allows us to look beneath the surface of what you're struggling with and understand the experiences that shaped you. We pay attention not only to your thoughts and story, but also to your body, emotions, relationships, and nervous system. Instead of trying to fix what's wrong with you, we get curious about what you've learned to do to survive—and whether you still need to do it.

I use EMDR as one of the approaches we may incorporate into therapy when it fits your needs and goals.

You don’t have to untangle it all alone.

You need someone who can see where you are—and help you figure out where you want to go.

It's about slowing down, getting curious about what's happening underneath the surface, and creating the safety and space to make meaningful change.

You only know what you know. The reason we get stuck is when we are limited by what we know. Therapy works because we have someone with us who can hold a different perspective, see things with different eyes, and inform how we are choosing to grow and change.

How it works!

Schedule a Consultation.

A free 30 minute consultation gives us a chance to answer questions and see if we’d be a good fit. From there we can easily schedule your intake session and talk through any remaining details or questions you might have.

Identify Priorities.

Before your intake, I’ll email you a bit of paperwork for you to complete. At our first session we’ll spend time talking through your priorities in therapy and come up with a game plan for how to best achieve your therapeutic goals. If you don’t specifically know your goals, that’s okay! We’ll spend some time figuring out what goals might be best for you.

Let’s get to work!

Together, we’ll consider your goals, financial circumstances, schedule, and preferences to decide how often we meet and where to begin.

Questions? Queries? Quibbles? Qualms?
